It would ruin continuity for going into Fury/4D. Except Tsubasa and Yu because those two never got new outfits. Also, Fusion returning characters get outfit updates. Don’t want to do that to her and force her to battle again for plot sake. Besides, she likes working behind the scenes anyway. She got traumatized from Ryuga and it’s understandable why she stopped. And the reason I gave the Aquarius spot to Mei Mei and not Hikaru is because Hikaru no longer battles. The reason I gave the Virgo spot to Teru and not the clearly stronger Chaoxin is because I already have Mei Mei in the line up, and I didn’t really want an overlap with them being on the same team.
That’s why I have the Cancer and Gemini spots used for ocs. I like him and find him funny, but I just don’t really think he’d be a good fit. I also didn’t think Tetsuya was really worthy of having the star shard (explained later). I wanted to include Masters characters, so I gave the Capricorn position to Klaus. I wanted to bring in some Metal Fusion characters (and give poor Hyoma some plot relevance and good battles), and I’m glad I found out that Ryutaro is slightly popular amongst the artists I’ve seen.
